About Us
DM
Artworks first began doing business in 1981, having designed and
painted a mural entitled "Past and Present". It was hand painted on
a commercial business that faced the Branigan Cultural Center in Las
Cruces, New Mexico. It depicted a prehistoric scene of Dinosaurs and
volcanic activity interlocked with a modern day scene of city
streets and sky scrapers. The flow of time was illustrated by a
flight of prehistoric flying reptiles that are transformed into
modern birds as they fly into the present day city scene.
Exposure of this work in the Albuquerque Journal, Las Cruces Sun
News and El Paso Times, led to more mural work at two different post
offices, health clubs, and local restaurants.
Later,
when contracted to create paintings for a local Italian restaurant
of the Coliseum in Rome, and a view of the Grand Canal in Venice,
Italy; the first request to design and paint some signs for the
outside of the restaurant opened up doors to enter the sign
business.
Ever since then, the business has expanded into producing artwork of
a variety of types, styles and applications, which includes signs,
murals, vehicles, and graphics on almost anything that will accept
vinyl, paint, or ink. A complete list of services can be located
under the products and
services page. |
